Are you an avid reader of fashion magazines? Inspired by shows like Project Runway? If fashion is your
passion, then Fashion Design 101 is the class for you! Appropriate for students with little or no design
experience, this class will focus on the principles of design and color and applying them to their very
own styles. Students will design print, woven and knit textiles, and will render technical sketches and create
their own clothing. Fashion design is a fun and creative way to merge imagination and artistic vision!

Learn about popular comic-book titles, current trends in comic and graphic novels for children and teens
and how comics are published. The class members create their very own comic book by applying all the
creative and production aspects, from the story, to the art, the colors and the lettering.

The heat of battle, the mental strain, the fear of defeat! No, not hand-to-hand combat, it
is chess! This course will introduce students to the love of the game and the ins and outs of
classic chess strategies. More advanced instruction is also available.

Students learn about Anime and Manga (Japanese Animations and Comic
Books). This art form combines vivid expression and meticulous design
with extraordinary storylines. The class earns about the use of
themes, imagery, genre, and the history of Anime and Manga, from the
beginnings of the anime wave to current popular series and films being
shown in Japan.

The Enrichment Centers' Japanese language program focuses on both written and spoken Japanese.
Qualified instructors emphasize immediate and total immersion in the language and culture. Using
visual stimuli, gestures, and role-playing, instructors create a lively and encouraging classroom
